The moon in the star kissed sky,
Standing in the cool of the night,
Wavering; an important task
Where is belief?
A cloud passes the moon
Red eyes star to gaze
The mud sharp and starts to bruise
Where is belief?
The rock begins to bite
Throat to blue to say
To surprise the dog in may
Where is belief?

What I Thought
This class was definitely an awesome experience for me. I like that we started off with the research project first to kind of get it out of the way, it help talk a lot of pressure of me to know that I would not have to be struggling to get my paper done right at the end  of the semester. The preview was something I appreciated as well because it help notice a lot of grammatical errors in my papers, I have never been good with grammar so have someone else point out what I needed to fix was a big help. Pro Lindberg is very energetic and she made coming to class fun I enjoyed her lectures and she is really enthusiastic about what she teaches. Her grading system is reasonable and she gives you plenty of opportunity to boost up your grade with extra credit. Going over drama’s, short story, and poems in class so that the students understood them was also something I was happy about. Making a video out of a poem that was a new twist on things and I loved it I like writing poetry but I never had a teacher say just pick a poem and go all out I think that was awesome. All in all this was a great class and even though I really don’t like lit sometimes, I would defiantly take this class again.

My Mind

every thought and emotion
is filled with your presence
images of you flash through my dreams
intensifying the illusion
why do you plague my mind

appearing and disappearing
like a magician as soon as yo walk in
you then turn and leave
confusion has become the base of existence
why do you plague my mind

the sanity that was once mine
has vanished into
the eternal vortex
what more of me must you subdue
why do you plague my mind

north south east and west
there is no escape from you
no remedy no solution
no place to hide
why do plague my mind

taunting teasing
words with double meaning
rage chaos fire
language expressing desire
no more game
cease the images in these frames
tell me honesty forget about modesty
WHY DO YOU PLAGUE MY MIND

Hypocrisy
A hypocrite is so one that I try hard not to be because I believe it makes a person appear fake or unworthy of anything. Recently I lost a very close friend because of that, I’ve been friends with this person ever since I moved to GA that was six years ago he knew my family and how much they meant to me. Through the years I told him all kinds of secrets about myself and so did he. I knew his likes and dislikes as he in turn knew mine. This person who I no longer talk to is gay he had a boyfriend who was awesome and all his friends liked him.  My ex-friend lived with his grandmother who did not know about his sexual preference, so he hid his relationships. One day he and his boyfriend had a fight, over what I will never know. They had a fight the boyfriend came over asking me for help because my friend would not let him explain what happened. My first thought was that he cheated and he assured me he did not. Being a person who would do anything for her friends I called my “best friends” to ask him what was wrong, he begins to yell at me, he just completely blew up. He began to call me names said he was coming over my house to talk to him and other vulgar terms. I believe I’m a nice and quiet person but it does not mean I can’t be rude and after the vulgar language I began to be.
Later that day he did come to my house standing outside yell asking where his boyfriend was est. he was drunk and in no way the friend I knew and loved he yelled at my mother disrespected her house. For a while the neighbors did not really associate with her because of it, they were afraid of bring up the topic. His brother was with him and he tried to manhandle my mother to get her out of the way because she was blocking the door to the house. A person who was suppose to be my best friend did all this and caused my family so much drama all for someone he had dated all of four months. For a friend who told me that he would never hurt me or my family he sure did a great job of it. Everyone can be a hypocrite at some point in their lives. Saying a simple phrase like I don’t like soda, and then three days later someone see’s you drinking a Coca-Cola. To me that’s exactly what he did, I told him that I had a friend who disrespected me and my family all because it was fun it hurt and made me cry, his response to that was to tell me he would never do that to a friend and that, that person was just stupid. My question is if that person was stupid what does that make him for doing even worse.

Spring Break
My spring break was interesting this year unlike most college students partying and going out of town with friends or family I spent most of my time at home sleeping, well at least for half of it anyway. I’m a part time student this semester and a part time employee doing full time hr weekly I’ll get roughly thirty-two to forty hours a week. This year I decided to take my vacation from work the same week as  my spring break so naturally sleep was on my to do list. Most students these days work so, you would understand my need to sleep. The other half of my vacation was also very relaxing my mother and I got a cabin in blue ridge for four days, my family and I went up their it was so much fun the view up there is so awesome my favorite part was watching the sun rise and set seeing those colors its indescribably beautiful. Not only did we stay in a cabin but we all went horseback riding, for my sisters it was a first time experience for me on the other hand it was my first time riding a horse in about five years. I was so excited to get back on a horse my sisters on the other hand where so terrified but at the same time they still they wanted to try. My horses name was diesel he was such a beauty a light brown horse with a black main and a black patch on its right hind leg. My sister’s horses where named Tiny and Grayson both were also beautiful Tiny was a dark brown with a light brown main and Grayson reminded me of black beauty. Riding through the trail was exuberant the thrill of being back on a horse was wondrous as for my sisters they got use to it and began to have lots of fun until we started to tort and my youngest sister fell off of her horse, most new riders never go back on their horse after falling off, surprisingly after she got over the shock of it she got back onto her horse and continued to ride for another 30min that’s made me so happy. At the end of our ride I asked them how it was and they both told me they loved it my middle sister can’t wait to go back all though she does not want to go with Tiny but with Grayson and my youngest sister wants to go back but feels she needs some time to completely get over her “falling experience”.

America’s Sales
America is a country that makes its profit by selling and buying products and is how most businesses are created. When Charley told Willy that “the only thing you got in this world is what you can sell” (1256) he meant exactly that in the 1940’s most working class men were salesman it was the prominent  job back in that generation if you couldn’t sell your product you couldn’t bring home the bacon. Today’s generation is not really that different in sales and it is still a prominent job available to people though it does differ in how we get paid. In the 1940’s, it was mostly based on commission where as in this time we have a base pay and depending on the company they will include a commission along with a base pay. People today are doing a little better than in the 1940s. Since the pay in this day in age is base and not commission only. There are still struggles with how much a person gets paid and work issues just like in the 1940s. Although, the method of sales have changed the underlying principle is the same. Just like Willy, people come to old age and have issues which some people overcome and others might not. Now, people have a backup plan like the 104k and retirement plans, while back then they probably did not have any backup plan of that nature; thus, leading to more hardship and finical issues. Looking back at the 1940’s, when I think of salesman I think of a door to door representative, where as in this day and age most people in sales are referred to as a sales associate working for companies like Wal-Mart or Kroger. So in the 1940’s Charley was right “the only thing you got in this world is what you can sell.”
